For Emerging Young Leaders
Looking for ways to empower student volleyball coaches and prevent injuries in athletes? Delivered by a Volleyball BC award winning Coach of the Year (14U), this 50 minute seminar can be delivered during a lunch break or Personal Learning Time (PLT) in school.
Designed to create confident, connected and knowledgeable student coaches equipped with professionally guided techniques necessary to reduce the risk of injury, they will also develop leadership skills to succeed in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment
Topics Covered:
Building a practice plan
Common injuries and when to refer
Ensuring technical skills are taught safely to prevent injuries
Establishing knowledge of game-play tactics and game-day coaching tips
Developing mental toughness
Insight into careers such as Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy and Sport Psychology plus professional certifications and volunteer opportunities

Posture Perfect Seminar Series
For Working Professionals and Older Adults
If you organization is interested in a 10 week program that includes 2 hour sessions per week, this workshop is for your group. This seminar series combines theory of anatomy and physiology plus practical exercises that target strengthening and mobility training for improved posture.
This program has also been successfully delivered during a 3 part noon-hour series to school-aged educators and administrators in the Vancouver School District. Individuals in attendance learn how to prevent musculoskeletal injuries from long periods sitting at desks, hunching over tables and/or standing day in and day out.
Participants will leave each session with a new perspective on how to move safely and efficiently with proper body alignment and enhanced muscle awareness. Attendees will be motivated to apply postural techniques in everyday living that will enhance work productivity and increase protection from injuries.
